We are very excited and pleased to announce the founding of the
Kentucky Academy of Photographic Arts.
Our new school is located in the beautiful, historic downtown square of Bowling Green, Kentucky. KAPA is on the second floor of The Princess Building and above the studio of Alan Davis Photography.
The Princess Building, directly across the street from Fountain Square Park, was originally The Princess Theatre, the first movie theatre in the state of Kentucky with sound. I't owner Bob Rabold completely renovated it on the inside just a few years ago but the outside remains much as it looked nearly 100 years ago and is listed with the City’s Green Historic Preservation Board.
The Kentucky Academy of Photographic Arts was founded by and is owned and operated by
Alan Davis, M.Photog., and his wife Saundra and local businessman Bobby Rabold. Alan and Saundra Davis have owned and operated Alan Davis Photography studio for over 32 years.
The Kentucky Academy of Photographic Arts began with a passion to educate professional photographers in the art of digital photography and creative techniques. The Academy is a place to develop and master skills in a small group atmosphere, to learn from some of the nation's best and most accredited professionals, and to associate with others who are striving to serve clients in more inspired, unique and creative ways.
Unlike most photography schools that have only one annual session, KAPA will be available to schedule classes throughout the entire year. Our goal is to provide a small class atmosphere with hands on workshops giving each student the personal attention that we feel is necessary to learn!
